Hayley & Jack

A destination wedding at Rickety Bridge, Franschoek

I absolutely love photographing intimate, destination weddings! And our beautiful Cape Town is the perfect destination for couples from abroad. When I met with Hayley & Jack a few days before their wedding, I knew I was in for a treat when they mentioned their first dance would be to Toto’s “Africa”. And when you look at the first dance photos at the end of the post, you’ll see how adorable and quirky these two are and how perfect their love is for one another! What an honour to have been part of this fun-filled day!

Our dream South African wedding

Having grown up in Cape Town, I always knew I wanted to share the beauty of the Western Cape with as many people as possible, so when it came to our wedding, there was no better place to celebrate our happy day. Now living in London, and engaged to a Londoner, we had visited as a couple and made beautiful memories doing wine tastings and exploring the local area, so it made perfect sense to have our wedding in such a special location.

The groom’s reaction was just priceless!

The day was absolutely perfect – we had wonderful weather, with the sun peeking out over the mountains and spilling onto our ceremony – and we were able to share the stunning location with friends and family from South Africa and abroad. We’re so grateful to Rickety Bridge for making our day truly magnificent and we cannot wait to come back and raise a glass to this, our proudly South African experience.

And these guys, The Black Ties, were amazing!
